Instructions for Submitting Abstracts

In order to upload your abstract you need to register, pay and obtain your registration id.



Abstracts how to

Upload ONE PDF file   as follows

  1. A cover sheet

  2. With the following information:
    • Oral or poster - Indicate your preference for oral 1 or poster presentation.
    • Title
    • Sesion - Indicate the topic area that best fits your abstract.

      3. Entry and Trafficking
      4. Replication cycle
      5. Virus-host Interactions I
      6. Virus-host Interactions II
      7. Genetic Diversity
      8. Gene Delivery and Oncolytic Vectors
      9. Immunology and Pathogenesis
      10. Model Systems Epidemiology and Clinical Virology
      11. Vaccines and Non-human Ads
    • The name of each author and all authors' affiliations. - Presenting author's name must be underlined.
  3. The Abstract

  4. It should include:
    • Title- In bold
    • Author information. - The name of each author and all authors' affiliations. Presenting author's name must be underlined.
    • Abstract body - Character limit, 2500 including spaces.


  1. The abstract must be submitted in English.
  2. Single-spaced.
  3. Font: Arial, Size: 12, Justified.
  4. Margins:
    • Top & Bottom 2.5 cm
    • Left 3.2 cm
    • Right 2.4 cm

    1 Because oral presentation requests exceed presentation slots, authors should be prepared to present a poster if their abstract is not selected for an oral presentation.

    Requests for late poster abstract submission will be considered by directly contacting the meeting organizers.

Speaker Information

Presentation Logistics

  1. You should load your talk in the "Teatro" room ONE DAY PRIOR to the beginning of the session.
  2. Presentations should be saved to a USB drive that the staff will upload on to the presentation computer. Whenever posible please do not use personal computers for presentations as this delays the overall session.
  3. Ensure all images and videos are embedded into your presentation.
  4. Talks will be 15 min long + 5 min Q&A.

Audio-Visual Equipment (provided by venue)

  • PC and Mac computer
  • Projector (Supports both 4:3 and 16:9 formats)
  • Screen
  • Laser Pointer
  • Microphone
  • PowerPoint

Poster information

Poster board dimensions: 1.2 m. (3'9" ft.) high x 1.0 m. (3'3" ft.) wide.

  1. Adhesive tape to facilitate display will be provided for your use.
  2. Poster presenters will be required to attend their posters for one evening session. Poster sessions and schedules to be announced.
  3. Please have all posters removed from boards by Friday, September 28 th.
  4. Poster presenters are responsible for printing their own poster.
